A quiet sanctuary in the middle of the city
The hotel is strategically located in the middle of Manila’s busy streets. Once the guests enter the compound they are transported to a 40s setting where the environment is tranquil, complete with big trees, a long driveway, plus a vintage car adorning the front of a big fountain.
Take in the natural setting
The Henry encourages their guests to take it easy and relish the beauty of nature. Relaxing by meditating or reading is a must for the guests! Our prime pick for achieving zen mode is the garden that was designed by Ildefonso P. Santos, National Artist for Landscape Architecture. The garden has a carefully-selected plant palette of post-war favorites such as palmera, santan, lantana, and champaca.
Explore the variety of rooms in the house
Each building at The Henry Hotel are actually old houses that have been refurbished. They are styled with baldoza tiles and Scala grilled windows—popular house fittings in the 40s that give the place that nostalgic feel. Each of the 34 rooms in the hotel has its own touch of the 1940s, from different furnishings of closets, clothing cabinets and side chairs that were sourced from all over the Philippines.
Take a dip
The newly renovated swimming pool promises pure relaxation. The guests can do laps or simply wade under the shade of the big trees in the garden. The ambience will make you wanna go all out and pull a 40s look by wearing vintage-inspired swimwear.
