Traveling to a New World
Summer is fast approaching and the kids are now pestering their parents as to where they should go for the summer vacation. With all this heat and cramming to meet work deadlines, everyone hopes to see the oasis at the end of the desert. That for all the pressures and headaches work and study bring, there would still be a day or even a week of fun during the adventure that is summer vacation.
For that reason alone, starting this March until the end of summer, La Isla will be sharing vacation ideas for our readers to delve into; helping them choose the perfect place to spend the season.
First stop: Switzerland.
Wade through the pristine bodies of water the Swiss are very proud of; from Lake Silvaplana with its impressive view of the Corvatsch Mountain, to Weggis Lake as it sits in the looming shadow of the Rigi Mountain, also known as the “Queen of the Mountains”. Else, climb to the top of the Matterhorn Alps located on the border between Switzerland and Italy.
The various attractions of Zurich, the country’s largest city, are ripe for the visiting, like the Credit Suisse Bank, headquarters of the eponymous financial services company. From Zurich, take a cab to the city of Bern then go for an afternoon walk in the Bundesplatz, the city’s Government Plaza, and stroll on through to the Jesuit Church located in the Lucerne district of Switzerland.
Feel the cool breeze as you travel aboard the Glacier Express, considered the most famous railway in the world, as it tours the most untouched parts of the country. You should also keep an eye out for the Lake Fountain in the city of Geneva.
Traveling opens up new worlds, letting you enjoy everything a country can give; from its natural wonders, to structures old and modern, to cultural experiences, to its friendly and outspoken people.
