Constructed in 1974, the structure is considered the world’s largest crude oil pipeline system. Visitors wanting to see the Trans-Alaska Pipeline can get a view of the entire thing, which stretches from Prudhoe Bay and ends in Valdez City, on an observation deck located at Fairbanks.
