New York, New York, this city never fails to fascinate me. I feel the overflowing exhilaration, elation and anticipation— it is like my first time to see the Big Apple. I’ve been there several times before but the city keeps on alluring me and I am ecstatic to see you again NY. New York for me is a wonderland all year round. It is as magical as the dazzling scenery inside a snow globe during winter. It will stay as vibrant as the colors of the flowers in spring time. Festivities under the heat of the sun linger and it could be melodramatic comes fall.

It may sound ideal to experience all the fine things the city has to offer, but New York is not just all that. It is not only a city of satisfaction and gratification but also of compassion, commiseration and contemplation.

As a personal tribute to Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr. and a sign of sympathy and empathy I took this opportunity to feature New York on the first month of this brand new year to signify the beginning of hope, stronger faith and optimism to all the loved ones of the victims of the 9/11 attack.
I strongly believe that this simple gesture will help in preserving one of the most important parts of the history. Not too long from now, the chronicle will be passed on to many generations and the memoirs of the tragedy will continue to edify the next civilization. The lives that were taken will not be put in to waste because they will continue to serve as an inspiration to many.
